John Webster, the “Official Town Crier” for the Town of Markham visited Cary for Lazy Daze 2003 and 2004. His wife, Mary Webster is the “Official Wife of the Town Crier.” Regaling the community with proclamations both wide and far, he soon became a festival favorite. Following Lazy Daze in 2004, the Mayor of Cary proclaimed him as Cary’s “Official Honorary Town Crier.” |
